It’s here and ready to go!
Fast. Free. Forged for Foresters.
Today marks the official launch of ForesterTools. A lightweight, intuitive QGIS plugin designed to streamline forestry workflows with minimal input and maximum impact. Built from the ground up by a forester-turned-developer, it was born out of real-world needs, bottlenecks, and long nights spent wishing something like this existed.
Now it does. And it’s yours, free!
Just the Beginning
This release is not the final word. It’s the first step. ForesterTools is designed to evolve alongside the very professionals it supports. Whether you’re a lone ranger mapping coppice plots or a consultant juggling commercial schedules, your voice can shape the next update.
Shape the Roadmap
Inside the free tutorial series, you’ll find a Feature Request form. It’s open to everyone. Use it.
Whether you’ve got an idea for a new tool, a tweak to the workflow, or a niche use-case you’d like solved, drop it in. Each submission helps sculpt the roadmap. ForesterTools is built with the community, not just for it.
What’s Next
This is the foundation. Upcoming tools will further optimize site scheduling, forest analysis, and forest inventory management. Eventually, you’ll see sibling plugins tailored to Biodiversity Net Gain, species data automation and whatever else the global forestry & ecology industry needs most.
Be Part of It
This isn’t just software. It’s a movement. An ecosystem-first initiative to give foresters, ecologists, and grassroots orgs the tools they need to operate at scale, without the red tape.
